The company at the time

Walmart is the world's largest retailer by revenue, with more than 11,000 stores. Its sales grow slowly, and it keeps only a few cents of profit from each dollar it sells. To compete with Amazon, it was spending heavily on online shopping: it had bought the online store Jet.com in 2016, and its U.S. online sales had grown about 40% in its last fiscal year. In February, the share price fell about 10% in one day after it reported that online sales growth had slowed during the holidays. Its profit for the last fiscal year was lower than usual because of one-time costs, which made its P/E look higher than in past years.

Information available at the time

The same numbers as on company pages, as they had been reported by April 2, 2018. Sector medians aren't shown because StockLab doesn't have them as they stood back then.

Revenue, growth, profit and cash flow are for fiscal year 2018 (ended January 2018), the latest full year in an annual report filed by then; cash and debt come from the latest report (its date is on the card). Results announced after that aren't in these cards yet, even if the story above mentions them, so their numbers can differ.
